Getting Started
Should I start a monthly newsletter?
Hello all! This is my first post/message here – so I’m still very much learning the ropes.
Anyway, my name is Kris, and I have a YouTube tutorial channel where I make DIY terrain, player handouts, and stuff like that (for TTRPGs and skirmish games – D&D for example).
It’s usually made by printing out paper textures that I’ve designed, gluing them to bits of card, and then sticking them all together (it’s all fairly simple stuff – as the aim is to get functional terrain to the table quickly and easily).
Anyway, since YouTube is getting worse and worse at notifying/recommending new video releases to people (and also because I like to share a lot of W.I.P. pictures), I thought a newsletter might be a nice thing to try out… and substack seems the place to be for that kind of thing.
To begin with I might cover things like my latest releases, what I’m working on, perhaps share some pictures of what other folks have built using my textures (if I get their permission of course), and things like that (there’ll probably be some random gaming nonsense mixed in here and there too - like the random dungeon generation cards I’m currently working on).
So yeah, that’s the current plan… if it sounds mildly interesting, feel free to let me know (and maybe subscribe), and here’s hoping I can connect with a few like minded gamers as well :)

I love you stuff and videos. They have inspired many of my own work, and have added much to my arsenal to work with.
Kris been an avid follower for several years now. As a DM Your terrain has been a large part of my table top gaming. Keep up the good work, am looking forward to your release of the Dungeon Cards & Counters.
